Adventures of a Teacher in Transition

I felt strangely relaxed during it. I wasn’t as nervous answering the questions as I thought I would be. I think that’s a combination of knowing what I know and the really friendly department chair who was interviewing me.

The one question that threw me through a loop was “What was one question that you’re prepared for that I haven’t asked yet?”

It took me awhile to think of a question, but eventually I came up with “What do you know about R.T.I?”

I’ll find out next week if I get the job or not. Apparently it’s between me and one other girl. The woman I would be subbing for came in during it and was giving me some of her handouts and was like, “wait, have we officially hired her yet or am I getting ahead of myself?” So I’m kind of confident, but I don’t want to be too confident because there’s still a chance I’ll be told no.
