Adventures of a Teacher in Transition
Allison. 24. Illinois.Recently graduated with a B.A in English education. AVID tutor. Substitute teacher. Attempting to navigate life outside of college.
Feel free to send me a message, especially if you have any questions about student teaching :]
[Also if you follow me and then randomly get a follow from another Tumblr with "Allison" in the title, that's my personal.]
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I HAVE AN INTERVIEW!
It’s for an AVID tutoring job within a high school. So while it’s not classroom teaching, it’s still very much teaching. And it gets me in the building, working with students, and getting to know the administration. Plus, my friend is going to be a librarian in that building, so I would already know someone!
This could be amazing!
I don’t know a whole lot about the AVID program. I’m looking through the website, but has anyone here had any experience with the program, either as a teacher or a student? What can you tell me about the program?
